A new European Movement for Mental Health

A pioneering Erasmus+ project supporting the mental wellbeing of professional and elite athletes across Europe

About TYFE

Tackle Your Feelings Europe (TYFE) is a collaborative European project dedicated to improving the mental health and wellbeing of athletes.

Launched in January 2026, TYFE will challenge stigma, strengthen support systems, and create lasting cultural change in sport. Building on the original Tackle Your Feelings campaign launched in Ireland in 2016, TYFE expands this proven approach across borders, uniting athlete associations, researchers, and policymakers. The project focuses on breaking down stigma, empowering athletes to speak openly about mental health, and will work to ensure that appropriate, accessible support structures are in place. Aligned with the European Union’s priorities on healthy lifestyles and digital transformation, TYFE combines research, education, digital tools, and advocacy to help athletes thrive, both in and out of their sport.

Athletes First

Designed by and for athletes, TYFE puts lived experience at the centre of mental health support.

Evidence-Led, Impact-Driven

Grounded in research and best practice to deliver meaningful, measurable change across European sport.

Pan-European Collaboration

Uniting athlete associations from across Europe to strengthen capacity, share knowledge, and influence policy.
